Slightly Archaic is a blog maintained by Brian Barr, an artist and professor with a community college in Georgia. The opinions expressed on this blog are entirely my own and in no way reflect those of my college.
This is a place for me to explore topics that inform my own art and world-view (science, politics, religion, philosophy), but that do not necessarily have a role in my teaching. Oh, and Batman ... lots and lots about Batman.
The title of this blog reflects the usual reaction to my personal work and views on art, namely that I should have been born much earlier.
Brian Barr is Associate Professor of Art at Georgia Highlands College where he teaches both studio and history courses. He has an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA from the University of Central Florida.
